When you’ve photographed someone as radiant and full of life as Claira Smith more than once, it feels a little less like a session and a lot more like a reunion. I had the absolute honor of capturing Claira's senior portraits again this year, and let me just say—it was nothing short of magical. Her family drove all the way from North Atlanta to meet me on Georgia’s beautiful Golden Coast, and that level of commitment speaks volumes about how much this season means to her—and to them.

We explored two of St. Simons Island’s most underrated gems: Wormsloe Park and Gould's Inlet. These locations don’t always get the spotlight, but wow, did they deliver. Wormsloe’s romantic fountain and lush greenery gave us timeless elegance, while the coastal breeze and raw beauty of Gould’s Inlet offered a laid-back, natural charm that felt just right for a free-spirited soul like Claira.


Claira is the kind of young woman who lights up the world around her. She is God-driven, joy-filled, and deeply intentional about the way she walks through life. Her energy is infectious—in the best way—and photographing her is effortless because she’s completely herself in front of the lens. Whether she was twirling in a soft pink dress or running barefoot in the surf, she radiated confidence, kindness, and that unmistakable spark of someone who knows exactly where she’s headed.


And let me tell you: she rocked this session. From graceful poses in the gardens to spontaneous laughter splashing in the waves, Claira showed us all how to embrace the moment, trust your light, and celebrate the beauty of this once-in-a-lifetime season.
