Parker + Walker

Every once in a while, I get the honor of photographing a couple whose love story feels like it could be the plot of a southern novel — full of friendship, adventure, and an undeniable kind of love that’s only grown stronger over time. That’s exactly how I’d describe Parker and Walker.

We spent the afternoon wandering the charming, historic streets of downtown Savannah for their engagement session, and the laughter between them was effortless. These two have such a sweet, grounded connection — the kind that only comes from over a decade of growing, dreaming, and doing life together.

As we walked, Parker shared so many little stories about their journey. She told me about how she and Walker first met on the first day of 9th grade in English class — he took the open seat next to her, and from that moment on, they’ve been inseparable. It’s the kind of high school sweetheart story that gives you chills (the good kind, of course).

After high school, they both attended the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!), then packed up their lives and moved all the way to Texas together after graduation. Parker said that road trip was full of mishaps, but it’s still one of her favorite memories — because it marked the beginning of a new chapter they were stepping into side by side.

Texas wasn’t just a new home — it’s where they got Gus, their beloved Boykin Spaniel who has completely stolen their hearts. But when Walker was offered a job opportunity back in Savannah, they knew it was time to come closer to family and friends. They moved back in August 2024, and just a few months later — on January 17th — Walker proposed to Parker in Lafayette Square. That very same spot will be the backdrop for their “I do” on the anniversary of their engagement day.

Can we all just take a moment for that full-circle romance?!

From the way they look at each other to the way they tell their stories, you can feel the depth of their connection. It’s patient, joyful, and built on years of shared memories — and it was such an honor to capture just a small piece of their journey.

Parker and Walker, I am so excited for your wedding day and all the beauty it will hold. You two are the kind of love people write songs about.

Kind words from the client

Chelsea is absolutely amazing to work with! Not only are her photos stunning, but she has a wonderful attention to detail that is so helpful as a bride. She really took the time to understand what is important to us! Our engagement pictures were beautiful, and she made it fun for my fiancé who doesn’t like taking pictures. In addition, she also delivered all of the pictures in less than a week!

I can’t wait to have Chelsea capture our wedding weekend in January!!
